Don't despise small beginnings
I was a teacher for 20 years and every spring I would gaze out my classroom window aching to be home in the garden, raising chickens and other small animals. I loved teaching, but I wanted to be home. So I retired and decided to build a farm. Only having five acres meant I needed to think small and manageable.
A friend of mine suggested goats.
Goats?! I had never even considered them, but I prayed and I felt the Lord leading me to get some goats. When I got home I told my husband that I thought God was telling me to get into goats and laughed. I left the room and was gone awhile when my sensible, down-to-earth husband called me in the room. He had prayed and agreed...God wanted me in the goat business.
Retirement has been an adventure and God has been with me all the way. For more of that kind of information, click the journal page.(Up dated )
